AIR SEYCHELLES LAUNCHES SECOND NON-STOP FLIGHT FROM LONDON.
Air
Seychelles, has announced the introduction of its second weekly
non-stop service to Seychelles from London, effective April
2004.
Following the success of Air Seychelles' non-stop London - Mahé
flight, introduced in December 2001, the decision to change
their current via Zurich flight to an additional non-stop service
was taken as a response to increased demand from tour operators
and holidaymakers alike.

Passenger
with a knife quickly disarmed on Air Seychelles flight
A
man who brandished a knife on an Air Seychelles flight (Flight
number HM 017) from Mumbai to the Maldives early this morning
(Sept 9) was quickly disarmed by the cabin crew and handed
over to the Maldives police on arrival.

SEYCHELLES launches Mumbai (India) service
Victoria Air
Seychelles started its weekly service to Mumbai on January
20.
The Mumbai service is operated by the new Boeing 737-700 aircraft,
via the Maldives, on Sunday evenings.
The flight departs Mahe at 5.45 p.m. with a one-hour transit stop on
Male, Maldives and carries onto Mumbai.
The return sector flight on the Mumbai-Maldives route departs at 2.50
a.m. early Monday morning and arrives Mahe at 7.35 a.m.
Air links between India and Seychelles were once served by Air India
between 1976 and 1988 and Air Seychelles also operated a weekly service
on its then Boeing 757 from 1993 to 1996 when the aircraft was returned.
New
Boeing 737 operates on Indian Ocean routes
Victoria,
December 3rd 2001 Air
Seychelles' new Boeing 737-700 aircraft, named Amirantes,
landed at Seychelles International Airport at around 9
a.m. on Saturday morning Nov. 24th.
The 126-seater aircraft, which began operating on the national airline's
regional network as from December 1st, has been fitted in with interior
design features reflecting the Creole atmosphere.
The arrival of the new Boeing 737-700 aircraft allows the national
carrier to provide passengers with more frequent flights on its regional
route network which operates to Johannesburg, Dubai, Mauritius and
the new services to Mumbai, Maldives, Mayotte and the Comores.
